A SLING IS A SLING IS A SLING…SOMETIMES!!

VICTORY SERIES TWO-POINT SLING BY BLUEFORCE GEAR

NEMO COOL FACTOR

When I asked the folks at BlueForce Gear, Inc. to send me their Victory Series Two-Point sling to test and review, my significant other, was quick to chime in, "Isn't a sling just a sling. How are you going to write a review on that"? Upon arrival of my Victory Series Two-Point sling, she now admits, she was wrong (a rare but joyful occasion in our household). Right off the bat, I would like to state, "Thank you BLUEFORCE GEAR…Thank you"!!

My attitude for most everything in life is simple, "always work with what you have and make the best out of it". An age old motto, my father has lived by (and has been incredibly successful with) for decades. Although deeply intrigued by the latest and greatest, that motto has always caused me to resist running out and spending hard earned cash, on products and gear designed to make high-quality equipment….superior. It was not until a recent purchase of a Bushmaster™ AR, which I became unsatisfied with their twenty five cent sling that came included with their high quality firearm and opted to set aside my fathers old adage and institute my quest for a better sling.

As many of you may or may not know, "I am not a gun guy", however, after familiarizing myself with the standard sling that came with my AR and receiving approximately (3) three slings from BlueForceGear™ competitors, I can tell you that I noticed a tremendous difference in the Victory Series sling, right out of the package with the noticeable differences being its stitching and feel.

After a few additional minutes of inspecting the sling, I determined which was the muzzle end versus the butt stock end. As I ran the webbing through the muzzle end, I noticed that the application was going relatively quick and appeared to be a painless install, even for a novice. Before I knew it, I had both ends attached to my weapon and immediately began switching from strong to weak side and inspecting the quick adjust tab.  I immediately noticed the increased ability to pop into position faster, move more fluidly, perform transitions more efficiently, and most importantly, have more control with my weak side and transitioning from my drop down holster to my AR and vice versa. To put it into layman terms, "it just feels right".

To sum things up, for the quality and price of BlueForce Gears two-point sling, I have not personally tested anything that comes close in price, construction and value.

And, like my grandfather used to say, "Every pot has a lid", and I think I would agree. Working with the Victory Series Two-Point sling, I think we have found the "perfect fit" for "any" AR  on the market.
